It was just an ordinary morning at work. About few minutes before the school bell rang, my staff approached me and told me… “That teacher is so mean!” I was surprised by his remark then out of curiosity I asked him… “Why? What did she do?” “She told the kid to [...] Be prepared! There will be a test tomorrow. As a student, once the teacher said that… I would instantaneously succumb to a mild to serious panic attack depending on what kind of test the teacher was talking about. I hate test! Who doesn’t? Tests or exams have a negative implication regardless of [...] The hardest lesson I learned from being a teacher is… to un-teach myself. Life is a teaching-learning process and the world is your classroom. And being an educator is not just a profession (I wish it were)… it is a lifetime commitment. The compensation is not much but huge in other “fringe” [...] My NOTE: This was written during the first few months of my adjustment period here in Maine. I am posting it here because I am currently downsizing my blog accounts and merging them for easy management. Hope you find this interesting. I have been out of work for more than six months [...] I talked to my long time friend and colleague on the phone last week. It was not the regular “hi-hello-goodbye-what’s-new-wuzzup” kind of call that we usually had. It was a tough conversation that was so hard to for me to digest.
