I AM… a frustrated WRITER…
I’VE LEARNED TO DOODLE… early on in life. Writing materials and papers abound around the house. What would you expect from a father who earned a living from a printing business? My siblings and I have lived and survived many memorable years of sketches, drafts, graffiti and vandalism. Not a good sight though, especially for a natty and dapper mom, but it definitely unmasked amongst us a burning desire for scribbling and writing.
AS A STUDENT… albeit my penmanship was not good enough to win a secretarial post during each classroom election, I love writing. I have written a lot during my early years in school. And I knew they were good stuff. Not because I have written them, but mainly because they were products of my innocence and unassuming juvenile imagination. How I long to read again, once and for all those old scripts that had once been the impressions of my childhood. But much to my desire to read them again and to come up with a compilation of my earliest works, it is hopeless… for I have lost most of them regretfully.
NOW, THAT I AM AN EDUCATOR… I have taught students to write. I have inspired my students to write everything and anything that inspire them. I have stirred in some that same burning desire to put into words all those nagging thoughts that they have in mind. I have aroused in them an awareness that only thrive in a young mind too pure to waste in this corrupt world of lies and deception. And I am proud that a lot of them were able to discover the same passion for writing and self-expression. And, as an educator – I will forever find ways to instill the same motivation to my students to nurture the same dream.

and lastly [I do really hope that this is really the last one], Ruthilicious… which is my latest baby which will incorporate all my role as… a frustrated WRITER, a hooked BOOKWORM, a restless TRAVELER, a desperate ARTIST, a faithful FRIEND, a perpetual LEARNER, a learning EDUCATOR, and… a hopeless ROMANTIC… and now an unrelenting BLOGGER
